The suspect, Olumide Babajide, 42, from Kwara State, was tracked and arrested in Kaduna State, where he diverted the goods to after taking them from the Slot Nigeria Office based in Computer Village, Ikeja, Lagos The driver, who was engaged in March, 2017, by the company, was directed to move the consignment to Slot Outlet in Victoria Island, Lagos in May 2, 2017, when the incident happened.

According to Olumide:

“I took the good from Slot’s outlet in Ikeja. I was to deliver it to another outlet in Victoria Island, Lagos, but instead I took the goods to Pam-Pam Hotel, Ikeja, while I returned the company’s Hilux car to R & S hotel, where we normally park the company’s vehicles.

The Buhari Campaign Organisation (BOG) has made a controversial claim that I know wont go down well with ore than 70% of Nigerians. They stated that if President Muhammadu Buhari did not seek for a second term in 2019 or failed to win it, Nigeria will collapse.

‎According to Daily Post, the organisation said two years of the APC-led government had impacted more positively on Nigerians than the 16 years of the PDP. The organisation, which brought about 14 Imams and six pastors together, offered prayers for Buhari’s quick recovery and expressed optimism that the remaining two years‎ in the first phase of the administration would be better.

Addressing newsmen at the Buhari Campaign Organisation (BCO) headquarters, yesterday in Abuja, the Acting National ‎Co-ordinator of the organisation, Alhaji Danladi Pasali, said Buhari had within the last two years laid the foundation for good governance in Nigeria.

He explained that if Buhari did not contest‎ in 2019, disgruntled forces would take over and destroy the country.

Except he returns in 2019, this country will be destroyed; and we can assure you that Mr President will contest again. ‎BCO appreciates the progress made so far towards ensuring security, revitalising the economy and tackling corruption,” he said.

‎He called on Nigerians to support the government in order to sustain its effort at building a peaceful and enduring democratic legacy in the country.

I know for sure in Igbo land, their is an adage that says "Woman we dey sell something for market and she is angry at customers, simply means him husband no do am well the previous night". I mean I know there are lot of things that can make women crazy and be acting nuts, and I don't think is only sex anyway.

Daddy Freeze To Christians - Spend Your Tithe On Muslims In This Month Of Ramadan

$

No doubt Controversial CoolFm On-Air Personality Daddy Freeze hate the idea of tithing. He has in numerous times vigorously campaigned against the act of tithing prompting some men of God in Nigeria to even curse him. He said that paying tithe is NOT a Christian practice.

But in a new message, however, he has asked Christians who say they must tithe to buy baskets of fruits, provisions, foodstuffs etc and take them to a mosque near them this Ramadan, if they want to genuinely practice tithing.

See his full statement below...

Dear #FreeNation,
Today, I have decided to teach on the controversial issue of tithing.

Although I have clearly explained that paying tithe is NOT a Christian practice, as Christians are the followers of Christ and Christ himself never paid or collected tithes, neither did his disciples, nor is there a single bible verse that shows were Christ instructed his followers to pay tithe; as a matter of fact Christ spoke more of alcoholic wine than of tithe, so I wonder how the modern day ‘tithe craze’ started.

As a matter of fact, Jesus only mentioned tithe once in the entire bible in MAT23:23 when he was chastising a Pharisee, saying they tithe on their herbs, but neglect the weightier matters of judgement and mercy (Kemi Olunloyo is still in prison but they collect tithe). Let’s remember that this same Christ was betrayed for money, not herbs.

So if we must tithe, let’s do it the way right way.

Let me start by casting some light on the favorite sheeple bible verse Malachi 3:8 Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings.

This OLD testament bible verse instructs Jews to pay their tithes, not Christians – JEWS. Remember Christianity, which means ‘followers of Christ’, started with the disciples so there were NO CHRISTIANS in the Old Testament.

Malachi 3: 8-10 says pay tithe but doesn’t say how often, so for a more explicit illustration, let us visit Deuteronomy 14:22-29 where it is stated with utmost clarity that tithe, in the year of the tithe, belongs to Levites, orphans widows and strangers in equal measure.

By definition; a ‘stranger’ is a person whom one does not know or with whom one is not familiar. I personally believe that Muslims are strangers to us therefore qualify for the ‘strangers share’ of our tithe and what better time to give it to them than now, their holy month of Ramadan?

During the month of Ramadan, buy baskets of fruits, provisions, foodstuffs etc and take them to a mosque near you, if you want to genuinely practice tithing, the way Moses was instructed to, by the Lord himself. ~FRZ

Propaganda Aside … Buhari Has Fulfilled Campaign Promises – Lai Mohammed

Lai Mohammed

The Minister of Information, Lai Mohammed, says President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration has fulfilled its campaign promises to Nigerians. He stated this at the presentation of National Social Investment Programmes (N-SIP), report card event to mark the 2nd anniversary of Buhari’s administration in Abuja.

The theme of the report card presentation was ‘Showcasing the Achievements of National Social Investment Programmes: A Smile for Every Nigerian’.

He said through N-SIP, the federal government provided employment to 200,000 unemployed graduates, engaged 57,000 people through Government Enterprise and Empowerment Programme (GEEP) and empowered about 26,000 ordinary Nigerians through Conditional Cash Transfer (CCT).

Mohammed said under the National Home Grown School Feeding Programme (NHGSFP), government was able to serve about 25 million meals to 1.2 million pupils all over the country in order to make learning conducive. He added that the APC federal government under its school feeding programme had employed at least 12,000 cooks across 36 states and the FCT.

“This is a government that promised and delivered on its promises and the unique thing about this particular N-SIP is that it has been achieved in an era when there has been no revenue,” he said. “It would have been a perfect excuse to say that because oil revenue dropped drastically, therefore, we are not able to deliver on our promises.

“But despite the dwindling revenue, we are able to deliver on our campaign promises and then this is not related just to the social investment programmes alone. “I am happy that we are here today to prove that this government is not a government of propaganda; this is a real government that is dealing with the real people.”

He said the programme was designed in such a way that it was easy and accessible to all Nigerians, adding “one of the unique selling points of the programmes is the transparency in it.” According to him, this is the first programme in the history of Nigeria that you do not need to know anybody before you can get enrolled.

“I am happy that many of the beneficiaries have testified to this and this is a new dawn,” he said. “My appeal to all the beneficiaries is to please let them not limit their testimonies to this hall please say it louder and clear at every time to all Nigerians. “Let Nigerians know how this government has impacted positively on your lives.”

The minister said that in spite of dwindling resource, since 2016 the federal government was able to add an additional $7 billion to its foreign reserves. He added that Buhari administration had been able to attract $500 million to the Sovereign Wealth Fund (SWF), and increased the Excess Crude $ 87 million.

23 Nigeria Banks Got N28.7bn Inflows From Dubious MMM Transactions

MMM Ponzi scheme is suddenly back in discussion after holding an elaborate party on democracy day. No fewer than 23 Nigerian banks received inflows amounting to N28.7 billion executed in 460,000 transactions through the Mavrodi Mondial Moneybox (MMM) Ponzi scheme within six months, the 2016 annual report of the Nigeria Electronic Fraud Forum (NeFF) has revealed.

According to ThisDay News, The amount, which was moved between June and December 2016, is 61 per cent higher than the budget of the Federal Ministry of Education and almost six times over the budget of the Nigerian Defence Headquarters (DHQ) in the 2017 budget, the report erroneously stated.

A quick fact-check of the 2017 budget, as passed by the National Assembly, showed that N139.3 billion was allocated to the Ministry of Defence for its capital spending programme for the year, while N330.54 billion was allocated for recurrent expenditure. In the case of the budget of the education ministry, the National Assembly passed a provision of N398.70 billion for recurrent spending and N56.72 billion for capital expenditure for the year.

The report disclosed that by the time the scheme “crashed” on December 13, 2016, over N11.9 billion had been lost by gullible subscribers. The NeFF report, which was unveiled in Abuja Tuesday at a stakeholders workshop on cybercrime, organised by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), disclosed that since the MMM scheme had a 30-day cycle before return-on-investment (RoI) was realised, everyone who put money into it after November 12, 2016 did not get their money out.

“No fewer than 23 banks received inflows amounting to N28.7 billion executed in 460,000 transactions through the MMM Ponzi scheme. The amount put into the scheme between November 13th and December 15th, 2016 (through interbank transactions) totals over NGN11.9bn. This amount was largely not recovered.

“To put this amount into perspective, the 2017 budget for Defence Headquarters is N4.7 billion. This implies that the amount transferred by Nigerians under the MMM Ponzi scheme would have funded the Nigerian Defence HQ almost six times over.  “Majority of the transfers made by customers of banks that participated in the MMM Ponzi scheme were made through the account-to-account transfer platform. “This was followed by the mobile channel, and lastly, through the web channels of other transfer platforms in the industry,” the report said.

It added that 34 financial institutions paid out money for investments into the MMM Nigeria Ponzi scheme, adding that the customers included those of commercial banks, mobile payment operators as well as mortgage banks. “By the side are the amounts, in terms of volume and value for each financial institution that money was paid out from. Fewer banks received inflows of MMM transactions than the number of banks from which outflows occurred,” the NeFF report stressed.

It also stated that MMM followed the usual pattern of Ponzi schemes, pointing out that “they continue to build momentum and crash when the maximum amounts are already invested in the scheme”.

The NeFF report added that the peak of the MMM investment was in November 2016, when over N13 billion was transferred among the participants, pointing out that the CBN had in the middle of 2016 warned about the dangers of the scheme.

In a related development, the volume of fraud reported in 2016 indicated an 82 per cent increase in reported cases, with an estimated N2.19 billion losses. The NeFF 2016 annual report titled, “A Changing Payments Ecosystem: The Security,” said the financial industry recorded an 82 per cent rise when compared to 2015 and over 1,200 per cent rise when juxtaposed with the situation in 2014.

According to the report, despite the 82 per cent increase in reported fraud cases, the industry was able to reduce fraud by 2.7 per cent when compared to the 2015 figure. “Comparing the attempted fraud against the actual losses, the industry was able to salvage 49.7 per cent of the total amount attempted by these fraudsters within the year. “These figures informed us that there are more attempts on a yearly basis with different innovation tricks or modus operandi to take advantage of the system,” the NeFF report said.

The report also noted that 2016 witnessed a significant transaction increase across all payment channels in both volume and value in spite of the economic recession. “In contrast with 2015, there was a 71.43 per cent spike in the volume of transactions processed through the NCS (Nigeria Central Switch),” it said.

In his address at the unveiling of the NeFF 2016 annual report, CBN’s Director, Banking and Payments System and NeFF Chairman, Mr. Dipo Fatokun, stated that the Nigeria Interbank Settlement System (NIBSS) report of the Nigeria fraud landscape for 2016 indicated that fraud cases grew by 82 per cent over the 2015 figures, attributing the trend to the increased usage of new payment platforms.

Meanwhile, the CBN Governor, Mr. Godwin Emefiele, has called on stakeholders to ensure that the Cybercrime Act is effectively enforced, to serve as a deterrent and constant reminder to those who may wish to engage in illicit activities targeting the financial technology infrastructure. “It is now about two years into the commencement of the Act, and so it is not too early to conduct a holistic review of its implementation, hence the theme of this workshop: ‘Tackling Enforcement Challenges under the Cybercrime Act’,” Emefiele said.

He noted that as the regulator of the financial sector, the CBN is constantly confronted with issues raised by operators who occupy the unenviable position of first line of defence against cyber attacks on the systems, networks and infrastructure through which financial services are carried out in the country.

“While the issue about cyber security is not wholly legal in nature, and while considerable efforts have been made by the CBN and banking operators, especially through the Bankers’ Committee and other bodies, leading to reduced incidents of fraud on the one hand, and very high consumer confidence in our payment system on the other, we are nevertheless desirous that the Cybercrime Act is effectively enforced, to serve as a deterrent and constant reminder to those who may wish to engage in illicit activities targeting our financial technology infrastructures,” he said

Host of Police officers feared dead on Tuesday night after suspected officials of the Nigerian Navy stormed a police division in Calabar, southern Nigeria. Eye witnesses said the attack, which began shortly after 8:30 p.m., was still underway as at 10:19 p.m. at Akim Divisional Headquarters.

“The police station is still burning as we speak,” a horrified witness said. Naval spokesperson, Suleiman Dahun, said he wasn’t aware of the development as at 10:26 p.m., promising to revert after his findings. Police spokesperson, Jimoh Moshood, could not be reached for comments Tuesday night.

According to PT, the unrest was a continuation of an initial skirmish between a police traffic officer and a naval officer at a traffic light near the Calabar Stadium along the Airport Road on Tuesday afternoon.

“Some naval officers ran the red light and police traffic officers intervened, but rather than listen, they descended on the policemen and beat them up,” a witness said. “This was around 5 p.m.” “Police officers now called for back up and and the Navy also called for reinforcement and they took over the road leading to the airport.

“But the Navy Commander and police commissioner in the state intervened and the two sides backed down,” the witness said. “However, around 8:00 p.m., when everyone thought the matter had been resolved, naval officers descended on Akim Police Station and started shooting and burnt down the facility.

“We confirmed three bodies but we feared there are more,” the witness said. The witness also accused the naval officers of blocking fire fighters from extinguishing the inferno set at the police station.

A condemned prisoner, Rabi Ismail, who escaped from lawful custody in Hadejia Prison on December 16, 2011, has been recaptured by the Intelligence Unit of the Nigerian Prisons Service with the support of men of the State Security Service, SSS.

The prisoner bearing number k/22c Rabi Ismail was sentenced to death by hanging for culpable homicide by a High Court in Kano on the 5th of January, 2005. A Hausa film actress, Ms Ismail was subsequently held in Kaduna Central prison from where she was transferred to Hadejia prison before she escaped about 6 years ago.

In July 2011, the Supreme Court upheld the sentence of the lower courts that sentenced her to death by hanging for killing a male friend, Auwalu Ibrahim, to acquire his property. The court found her guilty for drugging and drowning Mr Ibrahim in 2002 in Kano.

The Controller General of Prisons expressed appreciation to the assistance rendered by security agencies particularly the SSS and the police in arresting the fugitive. He appealed to members of the public to continue to provide useful information on escapees and indeed any criminal element in their midst to security agents, noting that such outlaws pose security threats to the society.

He assures that security measures have been strengthened to prevent persons in prison custody from escaping. The prison boss said escapees still at large would be fished out of their hiding no matter how long it takes to do so

No doubt, Bisola was so so angry with her bestie in big brother house, TTT. It will be noted that the first runner up of 2017 Big Brother Naija, Bisola Aiyeola and housemate, ThinTallTony have attended events together since after the house, but have never been seen together in a photo.

Recall that TTT despite his relationship with Bisola in the house didn’t tell her about his wife and kids, leaving her betrayed when she found out after the house.

Well, they attended the Cross Rivers @50 together with Kemen, Uriel, Debie-Rise, and Bassey, and took pictures standing far apart from each other during the dinner and while leaving the state.

Though they too pictures together this time, but they are far apart. Question is, Is the beef still on?
